Jonathan Hyde, born in Brisbane, Australia, is an actor. He portrays Allen Chamberlain in the first film of the The Mummy trilogy.
Hyde is a respected member of the Royal Shakespeare Company and has made several film appearances as well as stage appearances. Hyde graduated from the Royal Academy of Dramatic Arts, and is an Associate Member of the RADA; Hyde is also a leading member of the Royal National Theatre Company.
Jonathan Hyde is married to Scottish soprano Isobel Buchanan and is the father of two daughters, one being the actress Georgia King.
