The Rakshasa also known as the Tiger-Man a human-tiger beast from the Temple of Shiva in Sri Lanka that has a shape-shifting ability. The O’Connells encounter him when they are looking for the legendary Eye of Shiva at a fairground in Chicago where he is being held by Jonathan Carnahan's old pal Charlie Royce being shown to the people at the fair as a display. He tricks Jonathan into getting him out of his cage and soon begins his chase for the Eye of Shiva. It is quite possible that he originates from India and may have been a guardian of the Temple of Shiva.

Role in the Series[]

A Fair to Remember[]

The beast was captured by Jonathan's old friend Charlie Royce as an attraction at an amusement park in Chicago. Later, he shape-shifts into the form of Royce to trick Jonathan into believing that the beast had escaped and locked Royce in the cage in order to get free and then attempts to retrieve the Eye of Shiva but gets into a fight with Imhotep as he wants the Eye as well.
