The Winchester Model 1897 is a pump-action 12 gauge shotgun designed and developed in the United States. The weapon was produced by Winchester Repeating Arms, who also produced the Winchester Model 1887.
The Mummy (1999)[]
The Winchester Model 1897 seen in the film The Mummy was a riot gun variant of the weapon and was seen in the hands of only a couple of people. Throughout the course of the whole movie, the shotgun was seen in the hands of Richard O'Connell. He used it as his primary weapon until the end of the movie. By the end of the movie, Rick handed his Winchester to the Medjai known as Ardeth Bay in order for him to cover both him and Jonathan Carnahan so they could acquire the Book of Amun-Ra. Ardeth used the shotgun right up until he ran out, then used it as a melee weapon.
The Mummy: Tomb of the Dragon Emperor (2008)[]
In The Mummy: Tomb of the Dragon Emperor, the Winchester made a comeback, however it was only seen in the arsenal Rick had with him while at the gateway to Shangri-La.
