The Sahara deserts are a vast arid desert region in which the desert country of Egypt is located, along with other desert nations.
The Sahara deserts expand for many miles, some areas along the Nile river, and consist mostly of hot sandy plains, though mountains and cracked, former riverbeds exist as well. The nomadic Bedouin and Tuareg tribes inhabit the area and in the native language, "Sahara" meant "The Greatest Desert". Little water existed in wells, and expeditions to the desert around 1923 A.D were rare, as most explorers did not return once they entered the desert.
Behind the scenesEdit
The filming location for the Sahara was filmed around Erfoud, Morocco instead of Egypt.
